Career Change! Emily from @theunconventionalpa

Emily is a 30-something career-changer who is currently in her first year of PA school at Wake Forest School of Medicine. Prior to PA school she held a wide range of roles within a medical device company, spending many years on teams serving patient populations with diabetes and cardiac arrhythmias. PA-CAT Insights with Johnna Yealy, PA-C

What is the PA-CAT? Do you need to take it? Why was it created? Johnna Yealy is the co-principal investigator who researched the development and implementation of the PA-CAT. This was an extension of her dissertation work on the characteristics that predict performance in PA school. She is a PA program director who works in emergency medicine and serves in the Army Reserves. In today's episode of The Pre-PA Club podcast, we hear the inside scoop on the PA-CAT, as well as TONS of really great insights about the PA school admissions process and what goes into developing requirements. Full Tuition Scholarship for PA School?? - Chapman University Simon Scholar Program with Dr. Jerry Glavaz

Have you ever heard of a full tuition scholarship for PA school? Well, Chapman University has one, and the deadline is very soon - September 15 (for the class starting in January). Chapman University sponsored this week's podcast episode to spread the word about their Simon Scholar PA Program - a 100% covered tuition program for 10 students every year. Each year, the program’s portal will be open from May 1st to September 15th for applications. This generous program started last year, and there is still time to apply. For more information, listen to Dr. Jerry Glavaz on the podcast and visit the program website for the application.
