Sophia is a native New Orlean, and graduated with her Bachelor's of Science (Cardiopulmonary Science major) in 2012 from LSU-Health Science Center, and then worked as a cardiac sonographer for 3 1/2 years. She found herself working in adult echocardiography, and obtained certification in pediatric and fetal echocardiography as well, making her only 1 out of 6 people in Louisiana with those skills. While working, Sophia decided to get more involved with patient care and pursue PA. After taking classes online and during weekends and night, Sophia was accepted on her second attempt to Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and just completed her first semester as a PA-S!
