Travis Laverne (@tjlaverne) is a second year PA student at Drexel University on clinical rotations. As a 35 years old husband with two young boys at home, he is busy! Prior to PA school, Travis served 13 years active duty with the United States Air Force. He serves as class President and Board member for the leadership committee with SAAPA. Prior to PA school, after separating from the Air Force, Travis was a clinical research coordinator for The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania focused in Cardiovascular surgery, specifically Aortic Valve replacement and Thoracic Aorta therapies. We discuss how Travis is using the GI Bill to pay for school, how he balances all of his commitments with family life, and how he’s doing in PA school!
